Bhakti conclues that re-establishment of one's eternal and loving relationship to Godhead, is the ultimate goal of all real religions and religious practices.

When considering the path or practice of the ancient science that is Bhakti Yoga, one is well served by taking a humble approach - that in spite of how much we may think we know - there is always more; unlimited more.  Being humble in the sense of accepting one does not know everything but moreover, cannot know all that is to be known. As beings with inherent mental and intellectual limitations, fully understanding That being said, a semi-paradoxical truth if you will, is that as one's intimate relationship to the Source of all is, the Absolute Truth, is revealed in one's heart, a sense of all-knowing and all one needs to know if fully experienced by the inconceivable grace of the Supreme All Knowing - with Whom we forever share heart-space. It does not manifest by intellectual gymnastics, or boldly declaring oneself as good as God. This awareness naturally manifests by the grace of God, once one gives up all false, material designations of self as related to one's material body, mind and false ego, which identifies everything in terms of "I and mine" while in a transitory state of illusion, barreling towards the death of the material body, and all that is "I and mine". A new body is created by the desires of the mind at the time of death; resulting in another temporary material body, or an eternal spiritual body - according the quality of one's desire. By surrendering to God one's material desires, one's real desire body of spirit is created, based on loving service to Godhead. Thus the freedom of eternity and all knowledge bless the surrendered spirit/soul. Before such a joyful state of existence is revealed, one is in the hands of times, with limited perceptions of self and reality, which bind one to a limited sense of reality and limited capacity to source the origin of one's predicament - which is forgetting one's eternal connection to Creator/Godhead/Source.
Due to the somewhat mysterious free-will option to act selfishly or selflessly for the greater good including oneself, sometimes the spiirt/souls natural constitution of eternal knowledge and love of Godhead, becomes covered by material energy and desires, in the form a temporary body to fulfill a desire of separation from Source, as untenable as it may be. Free will is always given, because divine love cannot be forced; it is freely given, or is not at all - unconditional love, that Godhead has for us, cannot be a barter in exchange for something of this world or any other. It is love for love's sake - that is the constitution we have forgotten.

One's original constitutionally position as designed by our Creator/Source, is that of a spark of individual spiritual energy. Just as a spark of blazing fire cannot claim to have the heat, power and light of the fire, from which it came, The spark fire can claim the same constitution of fire, which it shares with the larger fire, but there is a difference in quantity of power and light with the original - even though the quality of fire, is identical.

There is an enlightening verse in this regard in the Katha Upanishas 2.2.13, as to the eternal difference, yet sameness, shared by each individual spirit/soul, with it's original Creator/Source.
"nityo nityānāṁ cetanaś cetanānām
eko yo bahūnāṁ vidadhāti kāmān"

Translation: The individual living being is an eternal spiritual being, the Supreme One, is also an eternal spiritual being. The individual living being is conscious, the Supreme Lord, is also conscious. The difference between the individual eternally conscious being, and the one Supreme Lord as an eternally conscious being, is that that the Supreme Lord is maintaining and providing the necessities for all living beings throughout of creation. .
In the Bhakti Yoga tradition of re-connecting to Godhead through devontional loving service, liberation does not mean becoming Godhead in full as the Creation of all universes, but rather embracing one's constitutional position of spark of spirit, with the individual identity and purpose of increasing unconditional love between the part and the whole; between the eternal spiritual self, and one's eternally loving and conscious Creator, face to face. Through the channel of connected consciousness through one's heart, one can see the face of God who is inconceivable, but can reveal Himself by own His sweet will, and inconceivable potency, to a pure-hearted devotee. The most direct way in this age to achieve pure0heartedness, is the chanting of the Hare Krishna maha-mantra, as recommended in the Vedic scriptures.  This mantra addresses Godhead as the All-Attractive Supreme person "Krisna" and "Rama" as the source of all spiritual happiness and spiritual strength. "Hare" is addressing the spiritual divine energy of Godhead, to engage one in service of the all attractive source of eternal happiness and strength. who is the Suprome Personality of Godhead. Godhead has unlimited names, describing His potencies and qualities, such as the Almighty Lord, or Heavenly Father, or the All Compassionate the All-Great; He undstands all languages, and the hearts of all.

In the Vedas it is said, nityo nityanam cetanas cetananam (Katha Upanisad 2.2.13): the Lord is the chief individual living entity, the leader of the subordinate living entities

The title statement above, is referenced from the Vaishnava perspective of the Vedic saints scriptures, who reveal that everything that is, is from one original,  spiritual/non-material, supremely conscious Source; the soure of all spiritual and material energies who has no other origin than itself. This source is the ultimate cause of all causes, and beyond any mortal being's capacity to conclusively measure of fully understand. This is described in the timeless wisdom of Bhagavad Gita and Brahma Samhita as found within the Vedas, in both original and supplementary forms.
The Vedas (Veda means "knowledge") are revered by many in the East as sacred scriptures, given to the residents of the East in written form, at a time understood as  pre-dating the Abrahamic traditions of the West. As such, would expect many contextual and cultural differences regarding the descriptive truths of man, God, and creation, one surprisingly also finds connective threads from both - that knowing God, oneself, and the loving relationship each spirit/soul can re-discover with one's Source, is the point and purpose of one's spiritual inquirey, journey and liberation from materialistic misdirection.
It is said that in the present age, the primary means of spiritual development, meaning self-realization and God realization, is to hear directly from Source/Creator/God personally, or to hear from a pure soul who repeats the message of Godhead.

Over the centuries, a number of rare pure souls and saints, have brought the message of Godhead to humanity, Their teachings started and supported the various faiths which have spread worldwide.  The teachings differ somewhat, due to the time, place and circumstance of those receiving various information in varied measures, regarding earthly practices and spiritual realities.

There is a common bond that connects those of all faiths who believe that one Source/Godhead/Creator has transcendent qualities of being omnipotent, ever-present, and all-knowing. As such, Godhead has the ways and means to communicate, guide, and protect each person from within and without - as part of a divine portfolio of sometimes inconceivable qualities.

Each individual person as divine offspring - being made in the image of God, or considered as a fragmental measure of the Supreme Personality of Godead, is endowed with measure of consciousness also. It is one's individual consciousness which key to one's physical and mental experiences of life. It is consciousness also which is the means to connect to different levels of energy and experience, both material and spiritual.

Divine qualities such as unconditional love and service, along with free will are already present in each individual, but mostly obscured by one's misconception of thinking one's material body as one's only true self. The actual self is pure spirit, residing for the moment, in a material form; a form which has an expiration date, although the spirit/soul is eternal.

One's original spiritual form of consciousness and it's divine qualities come from one's Source, although in lesser quantitative measures, compared to the Supreme Source of all love, mercy, strength, and compassion.

It is by one's conscious, free-will choice to remember and re-engage with the Source of all blissful loving energies, which uncovers and re-calibrates one's pure consciousness from materially conditioned, to spiritually liberated, unity consciousness. Unity consciousness, in the Bhakti conception, is not achieved by dissolving or losing one's identity in spirit, but perfected by the recognition of Godhead's never-ending love for each soul, along with each soul's empowering surrender to offering unconditional love back to all-conscious Source - the Supreme Personality of Godhead.

The "surrender" spoken of in spiritual circles does not necessarily mean to give up in the sense of being defeated - although it can if one is obstinately going down a futile path. Rather it means to surrender one's false, bodily-based, material conception of life as being the master and supposed controller of one's environment and the world at large.  Either by being defeated continually by time and circumstances, or just being humble enough to realize there are greater spiritual potentials to be experienced, which are controlled by higher forces in conjunction with one's individual will, one can surrender the somewhat crazy quest, for personal world domination. Whatever domination one could achieve, is abandoned at the time of death - another angle of crazy for those building castles in the sand.

Yep, we are the ones who populate the material universes, mostly burdened with delusions of grandeur and aiming to mold reality to one's ever-changing whims. That is one free-will option anyone can eternally persue.  In fact, the material universes were created as safe holding tanks for those with such desires, or one one could say a prison for those of us although spiritual in nature, have delusional ego issues. The bars of the prison we find ourselves in, are made of playing-small desires.

Once we understand and decide to participate in a greater love, the dark illusory prison dissolves, and the brilliance of spiritual reality is revealed by the agency of the Supreme Creator. It is the Lord in the heart, or Paramatma, who sits patiently in each heart of the individual soul or "atma" waiting for each individual to remember its own underlying spiritual assets and glory - to wake up and shake off all bodily designations in order to enjoy one's spiritual constitution of eternal life and forever loving exchanges.

Consciousness is the key to unlocking Source mysteries. Consciousness is the the symptom the individual spirit/soul, as well as the all-pervasive connecting feature of Source/Creator/Godhead.

Being supremely conscious of all of creation, is another divine attribute of Source., and something science can't exactly figure out.

The Abrahamic group of religions prominent in the Western world, chronologically appearing as Judaism, Christianity and Islam, have an ethnocentric timeline and world view, which pretty much ignores those cultures previously established in the East, primarily India and China.

Although measures of truth are surely found in Western theological traditions, regarding the nature of humankind and Godhead/Source, the Vedic texts written in Sanskrit approximately 5,000 years ago have volumes of information which are not only complimentary to Western thought, but also have extensive detail not found elsewhere.  There is also a mood and message of unity rather than division, revealed in higher spiritual planes which can be realizated in each human heart as well.

Such a statement might seem counter-intuitive considering the Western-oriented narrative; that of humanity being on a march of enlightenment, steadily progressing since Biblical times through the dark ages to the present information age. This very different from Vedic wisdom, which describes we are actually in a darker age now, than humanity was 5,000 years ago, and previously. This has to do with progressive timelines and cycles of the universe, which have different environments affecting different cultures and levels of spiritual knowledge in various cultures. Western orthodoxy regarding man's presence on earth and it's timeline of cultures is constantly being challenged, and is very slow to admit any inaccuracies or plausible alternatives.

Although both Western and Eastern theology ascribe to the conception of an all-knowing, all-powerful Creator /Source of both life and the material universe, Vedic information offers unique insight as to the nature of Source/Creator as being fully conscious and the energetic source of all other energies, including both matter and spirit, and therefore life as we know it. What is also revealed is the nature of the conscious relationship of each living being with the Creator - which is one of unconditional love, eternal knowledge and ecstatic bliss. Those qualities are constitutional to Godhead and the individual. But individuals in this world and universe have forgotten their spiritual inheritance and own glory, due to the desire to be separate from Godhead and making a petty-hearted attempt to inmitate God, and be one's own center of creation.

Different types of yoga will be explained breifly herein, which has to do with their ulitmate goals. Karma yoga is performing actions with the intent of better faculties in the future, for earthly enjoyments. Jnana yoga is meant to understand oneself as a part of eternal Godhead, free from the illusions of material indentification. Mystic yoga is for those wanthing exhibit mystic powers, beyond the reach of most people. Bhakti yoga is to act in love, in service of Godhead and all of creation. Bhakti a means and the end, to remember one's real identity, which is presently covered by false-ego conception and conditioning. The soul consciously liberated  from materialistic conceptions of self, can eternally enjoy a blissfully loving relationship to Godhead at every moment, as the perfection of all yogic or religious practice.

This can happen gradually, even from the comfort of one's home, while spending time daily if possible, to hear and discuss spiritual topics, and to practice seeing Source energy / God's presence in all things and at all times.

Much of Bhakti wisdom shared here, is found in Bhagavad Gita, as well as multi-volumes of other Bhakti Yoga literature including Srimad Bhagavatam, and Chaitanya Caritamrita.

Below is sample from an upcoming short video series called 3 Minute Guru, with that aim in mind - to see and meditate on the all-pervasive, ever-present nature, and philosophical features of Godhead/Source/Universal Love.

Truth As Conscious Reality

Consciousness is the key to understanding one's own life, and the greater reality in which one's own life plays out. There is no doubt consciousness exists - it is self-evident - because everyone has it to some degree or another. You, dear reader, would not be understanding any of the words above, without your personal consciousness.  Curiously, traditional science has not been keen to even discuss the idea and importance of consciousness until the last few decades, in any major way. This is primarily because the various theories around consciousness are far from conclusive - as to how and when consciousness was generated in the first place and how it works.
Whether one is a scientist or not, each individual attempts to discern truth from fiction, or reality from illusion, by means of one's own conscious awareness and considerations. Although not fully understood, consciousness plays an integral part in  considering what is true or not, personally and collectively. Talk about in inconvenient truth! We have no idea what the mechanism actually is, by which we seek to reach "truthful" conclusions. But we can put that aside for now, like science has for generations, and consider related topics.

After about 2,000 years or more of study by the Western world - regarding the origin of life, the origin of consciousness and the origin of universe itself - not that much has be proven conclusively. There is no real consensus. Theories abound, but conclusive truths are rare. But there does seem to be a pattern...

The partial truths of some theories, are negated by the partial truths of other theories, while all theories are re-questioned over the course of time, by newer, yet still incomplete theories. Those are the "facts" of science, as we have seen from from science itself for thousands of years and up to and including the present moment. So where does that leave us, in the search for truths of the highest standard? Sound heretical?

Before jumping to an incorrect conclusion - that questioning scientific method or theories, immediately makes one "anti-science" or "anti-intellectual" or any other type of ad hominem projectile description. Please considier that man's limited senses, just may limit perceptions of reality beyond one's sensory range. However in the mysterious arena of consciousness - wherein sensory input is not the only input - the experience and revelation of truth can be realized by alternative channels and energetic resonance.

Science itself may be stuck by it's own natural, and voluntarily self-imposed limitations and operating procedures, but other avenues are open to those who wish to experience the possibilities of consciousness, as guided by those accomplished in different methods of approach. Such methods, in themselves, are "scientific" in their own arena - in that if one applies the standard formula, an expected result will manifest.

Truthful Standards - Who Decides?

Ultimately, each person experiences truth within their own conscious reality. Because each person has a unique physical, mental and emotional perspective on the world, each person's internal or subjective conscious experiences may vary greatly from others.
Also, one's external or subjective experience of something in the world, may be perfectly true for one person, but not for another. For example, one person might enjoy the tasting artichokes and the experience of riding a roller-coaster. For a different person, those same two experiences might induce vomiting.

There is personal, valid, relativity of truth from person to person which is experiencial. The same can be said of absolute truths, experienced by different conscious beings.

Consciousness continues to be the operative word here, as it is within one's consciousness where the experience of truth is revealed on various levels, including the physical/sensual, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual/transcendent levels of personal reality. It is at the spirtual/transcendent level of consiousness where, almost inconceiably, the subject and the object become one experiencially, while also maintaining their own subjective reality and identity. The constant, loving, all-attractive eternal dance of union and separation is constitutional to the expression of loving experience between one's supremely conscious Source, and all conscious beings. It is the perfection in balance and perfect harmony off all energies - as conscious individual energies exchange unconditional love with their energetic Source of everything - the Godhead of unlimited love.
